Position: SAS Database Programmer
(2 positions: 1 senior, 1 mid-level)
LOCATION: Exton/Frazer
Purpose:
The Database Programmer performs all routine database programming tasks
on a data management project independently.
A) Projects:
The DP II performs all the tasks of a DP I, and in addition the
following tasks:
Design clinical databases by annotating the CRF
Program all study-specific edit checks and review listings
Import and check non-CRF data such as electronic laboratory data
Convert data extracted from databases into target structure
B) Technical (Infrastructure)
Assist in Computer Systems Validation efforts
Assist in software development to improve infrastructure (e.g.
programming of status/metric reports, or adaptation of generic reports
to study-specific needs)
Other tasks as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in related field and 2+ years of experience in
programming in data management. Candidates with lesser education may
qualify if experience and demonstrated skills are commensurate.
At least in-depth experience in one and basic experience in one more
of the following fields: SAS programming; PL-SQL programming; setting
up clinical databases preferably in an Oracle-based system.
Pharmaceutical industry experience is a major key.
SAS module they are using is SAS Base.
Nice-to-Haves:
- CRF (case report form)
- PL/SQL development
- Experience in an Oracle environment
For senior-level position (DP2) - Minimum 5 years of experience, very
strong with SAS Base
