POSITION: Senior SAS Financial Developer
LOCATION: Wilmington, DE
LENGTH: 6 month contract-to-hire

Job Summary:

    Assist the Data Services Business Intelligence Infrastructure team with providing on going SAS/SQL development and support. Many of the current production programs utilized on our team are written in SAS, and we will need to maintain and document these programs as business rules or new data requirements become available.

    The majority of the data sources accessed by these SAS programs reside in Oracle, so a strong familiarity with using SAS in an Oracle environment is important.

    The successful candidate will be able to interact with fellow team members as well as internal customers outside of Data Services.

Essential Functions:
    Work closely with business leaders, data modelers and data warehouse developers to ensure consistent and accurate reporting across the business

    Support B.I. change management controls and validation process to ensure consistent and accurate information and reports delivered to the customers

    Create and maintain documentation of operating procedures, application designs and user guides

    Provide continuous ad-hoc customer development support in information and reporting services

    Other assignments as required

Experience & Qualifications:
    At least five years of experience in a SAS/SQL development environment

    Strong knowledge of using SAS in an Oracle environment

    A great "A" team player, able to work in a cross-functional team effectively

Technical skills and abilities:
    Proven work experience in developing and debugging SAS/SQL code.

    Demonstrated ability in working with business units to understand the business requirements and logic that is implemented in product code.

    In-depth knowledge and experiences in data analysis, data warehouses and/or data marts

    Knowledge and experiences in relational and dimensional databases implemented in Oracle and/or MS SQL Server environments
