SAS Programmer/Statistical Analyst

Join our Center for Data Analysis, Statistics, and Technology Research. You will participate in data analysis activities in support of education-related research projects. Typical duties include preparation and quality control of research databases; developing, modifying and documenting statistical analysis software; carrying out statistical procedures under the direction of senior project staff; and assisting with interpretation and presentation of analysis results. You will develop original software products. The work is carried out primarily in Fortran, with ETS's proprietary statistical system, on a variety of platforms including mainframes, PCs and UNIX systems; other software including SPSS, SAS, Excel/Access, and S-Plus may be used on occasion. Requires a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Statistics or Computer Science, or a related field. Strong programming background for research type analyses, preferably in Fortran, and coursework in statistics are essential. Graphics and spreadsheet software expertise is desirable. Experience in analyzing data using statistical/psychometric techniques is highly desirable.
