This client who provides IT support to the pharmaceutical industry has an immediate need for a SAS Clinical Systems Developer. The successful candidate for this newly created position will work out of Pottstown, PA. Candidate must have a minimum of five years systems development experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry or for a software development vendor who makes systems for use in the pharmaceutical industry. In addition to solid SAS development experience, candidate must also have skills in C++, Java, HTML and Visual Basic. Excellent communication skills are required.

Local candidates are highly desirable.

This client in the pharmaceutical industry has an immediate and urgent need for several Clinical SAS Programmer/Analysts. The successful candidate(s) will be the lead programmer and analyst in supporting the production programming for NDA’s. Critical project activities include reporting database development, statistical and clinical reporting and submissions support. MUST have SAS programming experience in an FDA regulated environment supporting clinical trials. Greatest need currently is for Wilmington, DE and the King of Prussia area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead programming and analysis support of analysis datasets, listings, summaries, and tables.
Lead programming and analysis support of data structures and database summaries, tables, and database applications.
Writing SAS application code.
Validation of SAS programs for submissions.
Coordinating with biostatistics the writing of analysis plans and the designing of data presentations.
Generating all necessary output for the compilation of statistical appendices for CTR, ISS and ISE, and routine interface with a cross-function of clients.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or equivalent work experience.
Two plus years Pharmaceutical or CRO industry experience in clinical reporting and statistical applications systems/subsystems.
Strong competence in SAS/Base, SAS/Macro and SAS/STAT programming.
