Local SAS Classes and Certification Offerings

SAS Programming Certificate for the Pharmaceutical Industry Philadelphia University and SAS Institute Inc. are collaborating to provide state-of-the-art training for professionals interested in employment in the dynamic field of clinical research. This three-month, non-credit program, offered yearly, is designed for recent college graduates, professionals working in related fields, and career changers. Participants complete three distinct units -- classroom training, an independent project, and the opportunity for a paid clinical internship that is available on a competitive basis. Program participants can expect to qualify for in-demand positions as SAS programmers in pharmaceutical companies and clinical research organizations. Read more.

SAS Training with a Pharmaceutical emphasis:

Introduction to SAS and Intermediate SAS taught by Daphne Ewing at Arcadia University in Glenside, PA (just north of Philadelphia). Introduction to SAS is a Fall class, with the Intermediate SAS class taught in the Spring semester. Although some exceptions are granted, the Intermediate SAS class assumes the Introductory class as a prerequisite.

These classes are taught in the evening (7:10pm) at Arcadia's Glenside campus. These classes are taught in a lab where each student gets hands-on experience with SAS using Pharmaceutical data and examples. Statistical Horizons Paul D. Allison, Ph.D. President Statistical Horizons offers short courses on Survival Analysis, Categorical Data Analysis, Longitudinal Data Analysis and Missing Data. These courses are regularly presented as public seminars, and can also be given on-site at your firm. In addition, we provide statistical consulting on a variety of topics. Recent News:  Paul Allison has been elected as a Fellow of the American Statistical Association. This award is given annually to a limited number of association members "of established reputation who have made outstanding contributions in some aspect of statistical work."
